Emirates to start Airbus A380 service for Pakistan from Sunday

ISLAMABAD – Dubai’s national airline Emirates is all set to start its Airbus A380 flight operations for Pakistan from July 8.

The world’s largest passenger airplane will land on the new Islamabad International Airport on July 8, which will be a landmark in the aviation history of Pakistan.

The Civil Aviation Authority has granted permission to Emirates airline; the double-decker jet will make its inaugural arrival in Islamabad on a special flight EK2524/EK2525.

The A380 flight will depart Dubai at 8.00 am and arrive in Islamabad at 12.10pm. The flight will depart the Pakistani capital at 3.40pm, arriving in Dubai at 5.45pm on the same day.

The double-decker plane stands 80-foot high from the ground and has a speed of 945 kilometers per hour with its four powerful turbo engines.

The giant airplane weighs 577 tons, its length is 240 feet and the wingspan is 260 feet. A380 can accommodate up to 868 passengers. It has the capacity to carry 323,545 liters of fuel, which is equal to 85,471 gallons.
