ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will begin his three-day visit to Saudi Arabia from March 4 (today) till March 6 on the invitation of King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
According to the Foreign Office, the prime minister will be accompanied by a delegation of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his special assistant on foreign affairs, Syed Tariq Fatemi.
“It will be Prime Minister Sharif’s first official visit to the Kingdom after the assumption of office in 2013,” said FO spokesperson Tasneem Aslam.
Besides holding talks with King Salman during his visit, the prime minister will also be performing Umrah and visiting Madina to offer prayers at Masjid-e-Nabvi.
It is hoped that Nawaz’s official visit will provide an opportunity for the leadership of the two countries to discuss issues of mutual interest in the global and regional context which will further expand the existing bilateral relations.
