Three labourers die as crane hits power cables

RAWALPINDI (APP) – Three persons were electrocuted here Thursday when a crane hit overhead power cables in Rawalpindi.

According to police, a suzuki pickup plunged into a ravine on Marble Factory Road in Raheem Town area near the Railway crossing.

The suzuki driver managed a crane to pullout the vehicle but, unfortunately, the excavator hit the overhead power lines and caught fire.

Resultantly, the driver, and two others – identified as Mohsin, Noor Zia and Muhammad Tariq – lost their lives on the spot.

Three others were critically injured and rushed to district headquarters hospital (DHQ).
