Nawaz Sharif warns of uncovering hidden truths about 2014 sit-ins

ISLAMABAD – Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has warned that he was aware of numerous hidden aspects of the dual sit-ins staged in 2014 by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek which were still under the wraps.

In an informal discussion with newsmen inside the accountability court on Thursday, the former premier expressed that truths about last five years would be uncovered very soon.

The Supreme Leader of ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz expressed that there were three key pillars of any states but a single player had usurped the authority of all the state organs.

The 68-years-old politician expressed that the sun of National Accountability Bureau was not shining over Pakistan as the anti-corruption body was granting immunity to few individuals in Sindh province.

The former lawmaker reiterated that his struggle was not against Imran Khan, but against the ‘invisible forces’.

Commenting on World Press Freedom Day, being observed today, Sharif drew a juxtaposition and claimed that besides press, gag orders were being issued against Sharif family.

The elder Sharif also expressed dismay over his disqualification as party president, adding that the legislation was knocked down to remove him from party position.

The former premier, along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz appeared before the accountability court in Islamabad for the Avenfield reference hearing which is nearing an end.
