BAHAWALPUR (Staff Report) – Second death anniversary of folk singer Reshma is being observed today.
She was born in village Loha, in Bikaner, Rajasthan, to a Gypsy family in 1947.
Reshma, who died of throat cancer, was best known for her Punjabi folk songs.
She was called “Nightingale of the Desert”.
She was awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz by the President for her best performance.
