RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Thursday met Pakistan Army team that had won Gold Medal in “Exercise Cambrian Patrol” held in the UK from October 14-23, this year.
A total of 122 teams across the globe had participated in the event known as one of the toughest patrolling tests for military personnel.
According to a news release, the COAS appreciated the team for their commendable performance in winning the medal and keeping Pakistan’s flag high.
Cambrian Patrol is physically challenging and arduous exercise which concentrates on teamwork for achieving the mission.
The teams of 8 men carrying up to 40 kgs each crosses some of the most unforgiving mountainous terrains of mid-Wales, UK, amid tactical and technical challenges, testing leadership, self-discipline, courage and determination of the participants.
This is the third time that Pakistan Army have won Gold in the Cambrian Patrol Exercise.
