ZAB 37th death anniversary: Sindh announces public holiday today

LAHORE (APP) – 37th death anniversary of Pakistan’s former prime minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) is being observed today (Monday).

The Sindh government has announced public holiday in the province. According to a notification issued, all the Sindh government offices, semi-government, autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under the administrative control of Sindh government will remain closed on the day.

Quran Khwani and dua will be offered at the all divisional district, Tehsil and city offices of the party. The Pakistan People’s Party will also hold public rally in Garhi Khuda Bux on this occasion.

“All preparations has been finalized by the committee, which was formed by the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Ali Bhutto,” Sindh Food Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah told APP here.

The minister said Bilawal Bhutto would attend the anniversary of his grandfather, which according to him would be attended by thousands of party supporters.

To a question, Nasir Shah said foolproof security arrangements had also been made to observe the anniversary in befitting manner. PPP social media had also announced a competition for video-making to commemorate the anniversary of former prime minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

All the video tributes should be submitted via email info@ppp.org.pk and the best three will be shared on party’s all official media pages.

The length of the videos should be 3-5 minutes for Facebook pages, 30 seconds for Twitter and 15 seconds for Instagram and March 30 was the last date for submission of the videos.
