Expelled PML-N minister Mushahidullah returns to PM Abbasi s cabinet

ISLAMABAD – Among members of Nawaz Sharif’s dissolved cabinet, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has also included an expelled member in his cabinet.

PML-N’s information secretary Mushahidullah Khan has made his way to the new cabinet as minister of climate change.

In 2016, he had been expelled by Nawaz Sharif Sharif for issuing a controversial statement accusing the ISI, Pakistan’s top intelligence agency, of sponsoring the Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf’s sit-in in 2014.

In his interview to the BBC, one year after the two marches of PTI and Awami Tehreek, the minister claimed that the then head of ISI General Zaheerul Islam Abbasi hatched conspiracies against PML-N government.
