LOS ANGELES- After quietly undergoing a kidney transplant last summer, Selena Gomez has spoken of her decision to lay low and step away from the spotlight in an interview with local American newspaper.

The American singer shared that,”Honestly I’ve just kind of stepped back a bit. I’m enjoying my life. I don’t really think about anything that causes me stress anymore, which is really nice”.
Selena was diagnosed with Lupus about 5 years and she had kept her surgery a secret until September 2017, at which point she shared the news in an Instagram post. “So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health,” she wrote.

Gomez has also revealed that she has moved from L.A. as part of her efforts to take this easy. “I don’t even live in Los Angeles anymore,” she said. “I don’t pay attention to trying to get people to like me as much.”
