Govt rejects opposition’s ToRs for Panama leaks commission

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – The government has rejected the Terms of References (ToRs) proposed by the opposition parties for the commission which will investigate the Panama Papers leaks.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said that the opposition parties were targeting only one person, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Nisar maintained that a number of people were named in the Panama Leaks including multiple representatives of countries around the world; however, Nawaz Sharif was the first leader of a country to react upon the issue as he formed a commission to probe the matter. He stated that Panama Leaks did not just name the PM and his family; however, the PM had decided not to hide from the issue.

Nisar said the prime minister had already showed his sincerity for exposing the truth but the opposition parties were insulting him.
