One killed as train slams into truck near Sukkur

LAHORE – On Thursday a high speed Karachi-bound train, Shalimar Express, collided with a truck near Sukkur, leaving one dead.

As per reports, the train left Lahore for Karachi when the incident happened due to the negligence of the truck driver.

It is being reported that the deceased tried to cross over the railway track without taking notice of the coming train instead of using proper railway crossing when the train slammed into the vehicle.

In February, at least four people were killed while two others were left injured as a rickshaw rammed into a train in Baseerpur city of Punjab.

According to reports, Farid Express was on its way from Lahore to Karachi when a rickshaw collided with it. Eyewitnesses claimed that the driver of rickshaw did not see the train before crossing.
