No headway possible on Kartarpur border issue sans talks: Pakistan to stubborn India

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan on Thursday gave a clear message to India that no matter including the Kartarpur border issues would be discussed with New Delhi if talks are not held between the neighbouring countries.

In a weekly press briefing, the FO Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal said Pakistan wants peaceful ties with neighbours keeping in view the vision of the founder of Pakistan. He added that Islamabad made continuous efforts to bring Delhi to table talk.

Earlier in August, the Indian government resumed talks with Pakistan on Wednesday to open the Kartarpur border crossing as Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria toured the area. However, the situation altogether changed when India withdrew from high-level talks after the commitment.

Talking about the Kashmir issue, he said that India was using chemical weapons in the occupied territory, adding that Pakistan strongly condemns the Indian atrocities. “We want to settle the Kashmir issue as per the desires of the Kashmiris”.

Moreover, Dr Faisal said that Pakistan will present the case against Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, who has been sentenced to death by a military court, in The International Court of Justice (ICJ) with full force and facts.
