LAHORE – Ehsan Mani was elected as the new chief of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in an unopposed contest on Tuesday.
Mani will serve the cricket board for a period of three years and surprisingly, no one submitted nomination papers against him.
The election came days after the resignation of former PCB chairman Najam Sethi who relinquished the post on August 20.

According to PCB’s official website, a special meeting was called at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore where Justice (R) Afzal Haider, the Election Commissioner with deputy election commissioner Ahmed Shahzad Farooq Rana conducted the elections of PCB.
Candidates could file their nomination papers between 11 am and 11:30 am but no contender against Mani surfaced.

After assuming charge last month, Prime Minister Imran Khan nominated Former International Cricket Council chairman Ehsan Mani as the next chairman of the PCB.
