Head of Chile s Transparency International resigns over Panama Papers

SANTIAGO (Web Desk) – The president of Chilean branch of Transparency International resigned after being implicated in the corruption scandal.

According to details, his name was unveiled by a massive leak of documents from a Panamanian law firm.

Panama Papers leaked ten of thousand names and the list was shared with over 100 news outlets worldwide.

“Gonzalo Delaveau presented his resignation as the president of Transparency Chile, which has been accepted by the board of directors.

Panama Papers claims that Delaveau owns three offshore companies.

Delaveau’s name is just one of the tens of thousands that appear in the documents from the Mossack Fonseca law firm.

The list also includes business and political elites from across the globe.
