KABUL (Staff Report) – At least six people on Tuesday died and several other were left severely wounded when a suicide blast struck Seya Gerd city of Afghanistan’s Parwan province.
According to Afghan media, the target of suicide attack was a local high school’s building. The blast was also confirmed by the office of provincial governor.
Huge contingents of security forces and rescue teams rushed to the blast site following the incident. The affected areas was cordoned off and public was advised to visit the area.
None of the insurgent groups, including Taliban, have so far claimed responsibility of the attack.
The blast comes after an armed clash between Afghan police and Taliban in which at least one of the fighters and six policemen were killed.
