ISLAMABAD – A five-day exhibition, displaying rare pictures of former president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, has kicked off in Pakistan’s capital city.
UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi inaugurated the exhibition – titled ‘Zayed in the hearts of Pakistanis’ – which features Al Nahyan’s rare photographs during his official and unofficial visits to the South Asian country.
The exhibition, held at Centaurus Mall, opened with the presence of senior Pakistani government officials, diplomats, and local media.
The exhibition coincides with 2018 – the ‘Year of Zayed’.

More than 25 pictures of Sheikh Zayed reflecting the special status and connection that Pakistanis hold in the heart of the UAE’s founding father, telling stories of Zayed carrying out humanitarian, charitable and development projects throughout the country, have been displayed in Islamabad.
The exhibition will also be held at the Sheikh Zayed International Academy in the federal capital and in the port city of Karachi.
