Wasim Akram attends training camp after firing incident

KARACHI (Staff Report) – Former Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram on Wednesday reached National Cricket Stadium to attend talent hunt training camp in Karachi after surviving a gun attack on Shah Faisal road.

Police have provided the fast bowler security guards that will accompany him during his stay in Karachi, according to details. “Akram can continue his training camp as long as he wants,” said officials.

Wasim Akram, while talking to media during training session, said the incident must not be portrayed as an act of teerorism. “It was one of the simple road accidents which are common worldwide,” he added.

Earlier an unidentified assailant opened fire at former cricketer’s car after an incident of road rage near Karsaaz.

Wasim Akram is leading a 13-day long camp to train young fast bowlers in national cricket stadium in Karachi.
