RAJANPUR – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) member of provincial assembly (MPA) Rajanpur Sardar Tariq Khan Dareshak passed away on Sunday due to a brain haemorrhage attack.
MPA elected was admitted to a private hospital in Multan on August 4 due to deteriorated health conditions, however, Tariq Dareshak died today.
Dreshak was MPA-elect from PP-296 Dera Ghazi Khan on a PTI ticket in general election 2018 held on July 25.
Earlier, the PTI leader Fawad Ch claimed they have the numbers to form the Punjab government, and that the chief minister will be from the PTI.
For a simple majority, one needs the support of at least 149 directly elected MPAs out of 297 general members to form government in the largest province of the country in terms of population, he added.
The breakdown of the party’s lead in Punjab is not clear as yet, but the party claims the support of 180 lawmakers, including reserved seats.
