QUETTA – People in south Balochistan are reaping the fruit of an onion frying plant, set up recently by authorities from provincial government and the army in a show of national commitment to promote economic activities in the country’s largest province.
The first batch of a high-quality finished product, called ‘Awaran Fried Onion’, has hit the market across the southern Pakistani province.
Pakistan Army had helped the local population construct the plant in the far-flung area of Awaran to facilitate the local farmers in transforming their crop into finished edible product for the market.
