ISLAMABAD (Online) – The government has declared Islamabad as sister city of Minsk, the capital and largest city of Belarus.
Sources said the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has filed report with cabinet division through CADD for its approval in this regard.
During the visit of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to Belarus a few months back, the governments of Pakistan and Belarus had agreed that Islamabad and Minsk will be made sister cities.
A CDA senior official said that as per agreement, new avenues of cooperation in diverse fields including municipal cooperation and youth development cooperation have been opened.
