RIYADH (Web Desk) – A Saudi court sentenced a husband to one week in prison after he slapped his wife on the face, causing damage to her ear drum.
A court in the Kingdom’s Eastern province issued the sentence after reviewing a medical report that found the woman’s ear drum to be badly damaged and in need of a 21 day recovery period.
The husband told the court that he hit his wife to correct her but the wife said she split from him because he mistreated and blackmailed her, according to Aljazeera.
