Shiv Sena issues fresh threats to Gulam Ali

LUCKNOW (Web Desk) – India’s extreme rightist political party Shiv Sena has once again threatened Pakistani singer Gulam Ali Khan of ‘serious consequences’ after his announcement to attend a concert in Indian city of Lucknow.

According to Indian media Anil Kumar Sindh, who is a key leader of Shiv Sena, has said that they will treat Gulam Ali even worse than Kulkerni, whose face was flushed with black ink.

Pakistani ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali, who had announced plans to scrap his upcoming concerts in India, has agreed to perform at the Lucknow Mahotsav on December 3, Lucknow district administration said on Thursday.

Ghulam Ali, who was scheduled to perform in Delhi on November 8, cancelled his forthcoming shows on Wednesday, saying he did not want to get involved in any kind of politics.

The Lucknow Mahotsava Samiti, however, spoke to the singer’s son later in the day and got a confirmation, The Hindu reported.

However according to Pakistani media Gulam Ali has dismissed reports of his performance in Lucknow saying that he has no plans to visit India in the current circumstances.
