35 injured as Indian troops resort to tear-gassing on funeral

SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, thirty-five people were injured after Indian troops resorted to tear-gassing on the funeral of a boy in Srinagar, today.

Locals said the boy was arrested by Indian troops and was subjected to custodial torture.

The mourners shouting pro-freedom slogans marched from Safa Kadal towards the Martyrs’ Graveyard in Eidgah with the body of the boy.

However, Indian forces deployed in the area resorted to teargas shelling to stop them from proceeding ahead.

Meanwhile, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one Kashmiri youth during a siege and search operation in Shopian district, today.
