LAHORE – In a tragic turn of events, the station house officer (SHO) of Lahore’s Rang Mahal area, Zahid Mehmood Rathore was murdered in a gun attack on Monday.
The policeman, along with his driver and guard was heading to Lahore from his Muridke residence when he came under attack.
The inspector was left wounded and was rushed to a hospital, however, his staff personnel died on the spot.
Unfortunately, the SHO also succumbed to his wounds later. Police claimed that an old enmity led to the killing of the policeman.
‘Unknown assailants fired at his car and fled,’ police further said.
An investigation into the attack is underway.
