QUETTA – A leader of Balochistan National Party (BNP), Malik Naveed Dehwar and his guard were gunned down on Thursday by unknown assailants near Arbab Karam Khan Road, Quetta, Dawn news reported.
As per reports, unidentified gunmen sprayed bullets on the vehicle of the BNP leader leaving him and his guard dead on the spot. Another person was also wounded in the attack.
After the attack, the attacker fled from the scene.
Police and and other law enforcement agencies have started investigation into the incident to trace the assailants.
Malik Naveed Dehwar was a local leader of BNP, which is headed by former chief minister of Balochistan Sardar Akhtar Mengal.
