Ramazan moon sighted: First fasting on Tuesday

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The moon for Ramazan has been sighted in various parts of the country including Lahore and Islamabad and Muslims across the country will observe their first fast on Tuesday (tomorrow).

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee also met under the chair of Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman at the Meteorological Building in Karachi and announced that the Ramazan moon had been sighted and fasting would begin on Tuesday.

More than one billion Muslims around the world will fast for the next 29 or 30 days as fasting during Ramazan is considered the third pillar of Islam.
