PESHAWAR – The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Saqib Nisar ordered that the interim Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa justice (r) Dost Muhammad should return the vehicle given by the Supreme Court.
Hearing multiple cases at the Peshawar registry, the top judge remarked that justice Dost Muhammad now held a political position and not a judge of the apex court so he must return the car which was in his possession as a judge of the Supreme Court.
“Now I can understand why he did not attend the full court reference,” remarked the top judge.
The top judge was referring to an earlier decision of Justice Dost Muhammad when he refused to take full court reference after his retirement from judicial services, breaking from the tradition.

Earlier on April 19, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar had apologized to his legal fraternity over the denial of full court reference and said he was ready to compensate for the mistake, adding that he was still ready to hold a full court reference for the apex court judge.
The judge had famously refused full court reference and farewell dinner which led to three provincial bar association to pass resolutions against the move.
The new interim provincial chief executive is one of the judges who refused to take oath under the Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO) in November 2007 and would steer the province till the next regime takes charge.
