Lenovo launches Z5 with top-notch, Snapdragon 636 chipset

SHENZHEN – Chinese tech manufacturer Lenovo has launched the Z5 smartphone.

Lenovo Z5 overall doesn’t provide the true bezel-less experience and features a top notch and a chin on the bottom of the screen.

The smartphone features an IPS 6.2-inch LCD, 1080 x 2246 pixels of resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio.

The Lenovo Z5 is powered by a 1.8 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset coupled with Adreno 509 GPU, 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.

Lenovo followed the trend of branding everything with AI and now the dual camera is 16 MP + 8 MP with AI capabilities. The selfie camera is in the cutout of the display and has an 8 MP sensor that is also artificially intelligent, bringing machine learning of the face shape.

To power the SoC there’s a 3,300 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging through a USB-C port. As promised, it has ZUI 4.0

The phone is available in Black, Blue, and Aurora. There are two memory variants with varying price tags – the 6/64 GB version goes for CNY1,299($203), while the 6/128 GB one will cost CNY1,799($281).
