Army chief says Pak-Qatar defence ties will impose positive impact on regional security

RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday said that defence cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar will have positive impact on bilateral relationship as well as on regional security, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated.

The Army chief is in Qatar on an official visit where he met Qatar’s Minister of Defence Affairs Doctor Khalid Bin Muhammad Al-Attiya.

“The minister appreciated professional standing and performance of Pakistan Army and expressed desire for increased Pakistan-Qatar defence collaboration,” the ISPR said.

The army chief also called on Chief of Staff Qatar Armed Forces Lt Gen Muhammad Bin Ali Al-Ghanim, who acknowledged Pakistan Army’s efforts for regional peace and stability through its fight against terrorism.
