Wanted terrorist arrested in Mansehra

PESHAWAR (Online) – One most wanted terrorist from a banned outfit was arrested and arms were recovered from him in an operation conducted by Anti Terrorism Department (ATD) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s district of Mansehra.

The suspected terrorist had killed six persons through a bomb blast in office of an NGO and government had fixed head money of one million rupees on his head.

On a tip off, the ATD personnel carried out operation in the suburbs of Mansehra Tuesday and arrested one Qari Rashid who was wanted since the last five years.

According to security authorities, the suspected terrorist was affiliated with banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and he was involved in a bomb attack on an office of NGO in the area of Ogi in Mansehra in 2010.

The blast had led to killings of six officers including two women officers of NGO. The accused was also found involved in several other terror-related activities.

Qari Rashid was shifted to unknown location for further interrogation.
