LAHORE (Web Desk) – National Assembly of Pakistan Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said he has been facing a media trial by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chief Imran Khan who failed to present any solid proofs of electoral rigging in NA-122 during general elections 2013.
Speaking to the media after the hearing of the NA-122 case in the election tribunal he said Khan was hit with a hockey by me about 50 years ago but he still minds it, I want to clarify him that it was not deliberate.
He went on to say that he would never say something that would make him feel ashamed to stand in front of the PTI chief and face him.
He further said that the case was sub judice and neither him nor Khan were the judges. He added that the judgment will be on the basis of justice and not whims.
He also said that he would hopefully stay on as the National Assembly Speaker till the full completion of his term in 2018, adding that he thanks his voters, supporters, family and friends who voted for him for the third time from NA-122.
Earlier today during the hearing of the case, Sadiq said that Khan’s allegations of fraud were completely irrational.
