PSL 6th match: Islamabad United beat Karachi Kings

DUBAI (Staff Report) – Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings only by two runs in the sixth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20.

Karachi Kings won the toss and chose to field first in the key match played at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday (today).

Kings lost their match against Quetta Gladiators on Saturday. However, Islamabad United lost both of their matches.

Islamabad United scored 132/8 in their respective 20 overs. Khalid Latif was the top scorer for the Islamabad side as he made 39 runs from 35 balls while Sharjeel Khan contributed 28 runs with the bat.

Ravi Bopara took two wickets for Karachi Kings while Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim and Usama Mir, brought in place of Nauman Anwar, got a wicket each.

In reply, Karachi Kings fell two runs short as they scored 130/9 in their 20 overs.

Ravi Bopara remained not out at 32 while Imad Wasim made 29 runs for the team. Shakib Al-Hasan contributed 20 runs for the side.

Saeed Ajmal got three wickets for the Islamabad side.

Tennis star Sania Mirza was also present in the stadium to support her husband Shoaib Malik’s team, Karachi Kings.
