MUMBAI (Web Desk) – Rumors are circulating regarding Katrina Kaif’s starring role in the Kabir Khan-directed Tubelight opposite superstar Salman Khan.
According to a report in DNA, Kabir has approached Katrina for the female lead’s role.
Earlier, rumors that Deepika Padukone was slated to the lead in the film were found doing the rounds.
In an interview, Kabir Khan said “I have never spoken to Deepika about the film. The earlier news that Deepika is going to be a part of the film was a rumor, still it spread like fire. So, naturally, the news that she isn’t doing the film does not surprise me, because I didn’t even discuss it with her.”
However, there is no official confirmation yet on who will be playing the female lead role. However, if the reports of Katrina playing the lead role in Tubelight are true, then it will be a treat for both Salman and Katrina’s fans.
Katrina has a long association with Kabir, with the actress starring in films like New York, Phantom & Ek Tha Tiger.
