Zardari s friends recovered from Balochistan after a month

KARACHI – Two close aides of former president Asif Ali Zardari, who had gone missing last month, have been recovered from Balochistan.

SSP Tariq Dharejo told the media on Sunday that Ghulam Qadir Marri and Ishfaq Leghari were recovered during a raid by Anti-Violent Crime Cell in Mund area of Turbat. The raid was conducted in collaboration with intelligence agencies, the officer added.

Leghari and Marri were abducted when they were travelling from Karachi to Jamshoro in April.

Their driver and two gunmen were also recovered during Sunday’s raid.

On April 13, Pakistan People’s Party leaders had walked out of the National Assembly to protest over their disappearance.
