LAHORE – An active leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz, is now a grandmother as her daughter has given birth to a baby girl.
The daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif took to Twitter on Sunday where she thanked the people for extending best wishes and congratulations on the birth of her granddaughter.
Thank you all for your good wishes & prayers on the birth of my granddaughter. Allah is very kind.

However, the first look of the newborn is yet to be revealed.
Nawaz Sharif and his daughter were scheduled to address a public rally in Mansehra on Sunday but the former could not attend the gathering as she was to stay with her daughter, Mehr-un-Nisa Safdar.
When a PML-N supporter asked Maryam about his absence from the PML-N’s rally, she responded: “I had to be with my daughter.”
As the news hit the social media, a number of users wished the 44-year-old PML-N leader on becoming the grandmother.

Mehr-un-Nisa Safdar, the granddaughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, got married to Raheel Munir, son of businessman Chaudhry Munir on 26th of December 2015.
India Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the wedding ceremony of Nisa during his only visit to Pakistan.
