Bibbidi bobbidi boo: Zendaya magically transforms into Cinderella at the Met Gala

NEW YORK- The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala is the most magical night in fashion, and Zendaya proved it as she hit the pink carpet in an incredible light-up gown.

The Greatest Showman actress, 22, took to the pink carpet on Monday and paid homage to Cinderella in a dazzling blue Tommy Hilfiger gown. And thanks to the help of her fairy godmother, stylist Law Roach, it caused her entire outfit to light up.

Wearing her hair in a sleek blonde bun with a chic blue hairband, Zendaya completed her look with white fur shoulder pads and a tiny silver clutch bag.

From the smoking effect of the wand to their dramatic entrance, they nailed every aspect of the style transformation.

But, wait! There’s more! As she climbed the famous front stairs of the Met, in true Cinderella fashion, she left behind a GLASS SLIPPER.

The Met Gala is the annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and is the most glamorous and exclusive event on the New York fashion calendar. It is famous for attracting bigwigs of Hollywood, of fashion, music, sports, TV and the stage for an evening of fashion and charity to mark the museum’s spring exhibit.

This year, the exhibit and gala depict the idea of ‘camp,’ as defined by Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay Notes on ‘Camp.’
