Man robbed of valuables by transgender wife in Chinniot

CHINNIOT- In a bizarre turn of events, a man was duped into marrying a transgender who fled shortly after robbing him of money.

According to media reports, 52-year-old Gulzar, a resident of Chiniot district in Punjab, contracted a second marriage with the ‘bride’, named Sonia in court after paying Rs150,000.

The bride which was actually a 28-year-old transgender was part of a ‘fraud’ gang comprising Ghulam Nabi and Safdar, who pretended to be relatives of the bride.

After tying the knot with Sonia, the man was left stunned when he realised Sonia was a transgender who left his home after depriving him of his cash.
