LAHORE – Pakistani actress Sara Loren has been cast opposite Arshad Warsi in the upcoming Bollywood movie Fraud Saiyaan. However, it seems it’s uncertain whether she’ll be able to promote the film in India with him as her visa has been rejected.
Loren told English daily ‘Mid-Day’, “I wish I could join my team members in India at this moment. Sitting on a sofa, having coffee and watching my [film’s] song on repeat is wonderful. I will hopefully join my team before the film releases”.
A source also said, “She had applied for a visa four times, and has now done so from Dubai. Sara owns property there. But, her prior stint in Pakistan seems to be a hindrance.”
Shooting for Fraud Saiyaan finished in August 2016, much before the unofficial ban was put into effect. Producer of the movie, Prakash Jha has said that Sara’s absence could affect the film since she is Arshad’s leading lady in the movie.
Jha also said, “It is sad to see such a talented actor being denied the right to promote her film. She has been in and out of the visa office for days”.
The story of Sara’s upcoming Bollywood venture revolves around Arshad’s character, Bhola Prasad Tripathi, who fraudulently marries several different women for money. The trailer released last week featuring Sara playing the role of one of his wives.
