Indian actress Fatima Sana Shaikh has been shamed on social media for posting pictures of herself in a swimsuit on the beach in Malta, where she is filming Thugs Of Hindostan.
Although she was delightful, the actress was trolled for a section of the internet believed that she had violated a certain code of conduct by wearing such an ensemble during the holy month.
“Fatima shame on u….at least u could have think of Ramadan,” read one comment. While another wrote: “Ramzan yaar. Atleast respect this month.”
One user also had a hidden question in order: “Mujhe nhi lgta k aap roza rkhti hongi. . Km se km ramdan ka to ehtram kr leti.”
Last week, Priyanka Chopra was ruthlessly criticized for wearing a short dress during her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Fatima’s story, thus, is another such instance.
Fatima Sana Shaikh, 25, worked as a child artiste in the films Chachi 420 and One 2 Ka 4. She played Geeta Phogat in Aamir Khan’s blockbuster Dangal and will be seen next in Thugs Of Hindostan, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif apart from Aamir.
