HYDERABAD (Web Desk) – Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Sharjil Inam Memon has said that the leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party has given a mandate to Senator-elect Abdul Rehman Malik to hold dialogues with Muttahida Qaumi Movement for joining the provincial government.
After success of negotiations, it would be possible to say whether MQM will joint the government or not, the Minister said while talking to media persons after inauguration of Sarsabz Sindh Campaign here at Zoological Garden (Rani Baagh) late Saturday evening.
He said that negotiations with MQM leadership continues. The people will soon witness the expected successful results of such dialogues.
Replying to another question about the law and order situation, the Minister said that with the appointment of the present Superintendent of Police, fruitful results have started to appear in this respect in Hyderabad district. He also appreciated the performance of DIG Hyderabad however he said that more efforts are required to further improve the law and order situation here.
Responding to another question, he said that a comprehensive plan has been prepared to cleanse the Local Government Department of ghost employees.
He said that the main objective of launching a week long “Clean, Green and Peaceful Sindh” campaign was to ensure cleanliness with greenery and provide all basic facilities to the people of the province.
The week long campaign has been extended and the same will continue throughout the year, he said and added that millions of saplings will be planted with cleanliness in all over the province during the campaign.
He informed that plantation of 50 thousand saplings has been planned in Hyderabad district during the current month, of which 11 thousand saplings have so far been planted in various parts of the district.
