ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – In recognition of Pakistan army’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, it has been presented with Istanbul Award.
During the ceremony at the President’s House, on Sunday, the officials of a Turkey based think tank bestowed the award to Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif.
The honorable members of the think tank forum comprising of representatives from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Bangladesh, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Malaysia and Sudan, also attended the ceremony.
The forum holds its meeting twice a year, while the Pak-China Institute, Senate Committee on Defense and the Turkish Center for Strategic Studies cooperated for the session held in Islamabad.
