Imran Khan is in power due to agreement, claims Zardari

ISLAMABAD – Former president Asif Ali Zardari claimed on Thursday that like Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman, Imran Khan assumed power after an agreement.

Addressing the newsmen in Khairpur, the politician expressed that his party leader Manzoor Wassan dreamt that the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government will not complete its term.

Regarding the ongoing probe by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Zardari said that no bureaucrat was ready to work in such circumstances.

To a question regarding former premier Nawaz Sharif, Zardari said that perhaps Nawaz and Maryam Nawaz were cooling down the situation.

The lawmaker expressed that a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) was awarded to clerics who used derogatory language; Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman added that those 1,200 poor people who were videotaped will be arrested but an NRO was given to those who levelled scathing allegations.

Zardari expressed that instead of going to the IMF for bailout package, our own markets should be strengthened.

U-turns are always taken, let’s see what happens, he quipped.
