ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Jamaat-e-Islami staged a sit-in in Islamabad on Thursday to resist against the executions of senior Jamaat-e-Islamic leadership in Bangladesh through mock trials for showing sympathies for Pakistan during the 1971 war.
Addressing the gathering, the JI leaders said the executions are contrary to the tripartite agreement signed by Pakistan, India and Bangladesh in 1974.
They exhorted the international residential area to take on its part in ending the human rights violations by the Bangladesh government.
