Restored state writ after evicting terrorists: COAS Raheel

PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – Chief of Army Staff Raheel Sharif has said writ of the state had been restored after successfully evicting terrorists from their sanctuaries.

While addressing a special provincial Apex Committee meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA on Tuesday, army chief said that after successfully evicting terrorists from their sanctuaries and restoring writ of the state, we are in the most difficult phase of the operation.

Raheel Sharif said we are physically rebuilding the war-damaged areas, resettling of IDPs and eventually establishing an administrative system that focuses on the needs and aspirations of the people. He emphasised that together with our tribal brethren we shall ensure that terrorists and their facilitators are never allowed to return to these areas.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Peshawar Corps Commander, senior provincial and FATA Secretariat officials attended the meeting.
