ISLAMABAD (APP) - The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 18,714.6 million on July 3, 2015, State Bank of Pakistan said.
Giving the break-up of the foreign reserves position, a statement of the Central Bank issued on Thursdays said that Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan stood at US$ 13,535.2 million while the net foreign reserves held by banks US$ 5,179.4 million.
The SBP said that during the week ending July 3,2015, SBP's Liquid FX Reserves increased by US$ 447 million to US$ 13,535 million, compared to US $ 13,088 million in the previous week.
The increase in reserves is mainly attributed to receipts of US$ 514 million from multilateral and bilateral sources, which include US $ 506 million received from IMF under EFF, the SBP statement added.
It said that during the week, SBP made payments of US$ 72 million on account of external debt servicing and other official payments.
