US university warns students against masturbation in showers
WASHINGTON (Web Desk) – In a surprising move, the University of Massachusetts of the US has allegedly warned its students not to masturbate in the showers since it clogs drains, according to a post on Facebook.

The ‘Masturbation Notice’ on alleged letterhead of UMASS AMHERST circulating on social media website Facebook reads: “Masturbation in the showers is a violation of the University of Massachusetts Housing Code.

The showers are not designed to handle semens!

The excessive amount of semen in the drains cost thousands of dollars in maintenance and must be reflected in housing price increase for next year. It is your money.

Please masturbate in your own room

Please see your RA with any questions. Thanks for your cooperation.”

Hundreds of people have reacted on the alleged masturbation notice with wild comments.

One Facebook user Ray William Johnson commented: “I am so glad I don’t go to this school. Thanks Erick for sending this. I think.”

Another user wrote: “University should not deprive students of pleasuring themselves.”

Earlier, Huffington Post reported that these letters circulating in universities and social media were fake and this practice was continuing for many years. A number of people have reported seeing letters which asked male students to refrain from pleasuring themselves in the dorm bathrooms or showers.

The notices usually say something about how the pipes were clogged and initially the college thought it was a build up of hair. But then they discovered the true horror: It was semen. So far, the letters usually say, it's cost the school anywhere from $700 to $7,000 in damage, or around 2,000 pounds in the United Kingdom.

The Post warned those who were preparing these notices that the unauthorized use of a university's trademark can lead to a code of conduct violation, or even action from a school's trademark office. The newspaper termed it a college prank that seems like it'll never go away.
