LAHORE (Staff Report) – Slain former Punjab governor Salman Taseer’s son Shahbaz Taseer had been recovered before the hanging of Mumtaz Qadri, Daily Pakistan has learnt.
According to sources, Shahbaz was recovered many days ago but the matter was kept secret following law enforcement agencies’ direction.

“LEAs had warned that religious activists might be went violent if Shahbaz Taseer’s safe recovery disclosed before Mumtaz Qadri’s hanging”, sources added.

However, no official confirmation has been made regarding the news.

Shahbaz Taseer was recovered on Tuesday afternoon from a restive area of Balochistan after five years of his kidnapping.
According to media reports a hotel owner made a statement on camera that a shabby looking man wearing grey shalwar kameezcame to his hotel and ordered some food, paid his bill and requested to use the owner’s phone which was not granted.
The man was then told to use the phone outside, which he did and a short while later was picked up by FC personnel. That man was Shahbaz Taseer, the hotel owner claimed.
