LAHORE – HBO released the first teaser trailer for its latest true-crime documentary on Thursday.
The cable network is taking on the infamous case of Michelle Carter – the teen girl who encouraged boyfriend Conrad Roy by text message while he killed himself five years ago.
The young girl encouraged her boyfriend to kill himself instead of pulling him out of his misery.
Carter, 22, began serving her 15-month prison sentence last month after Massachusetts’ Supreme Judicial Court upheld her involuntary manslaughter conviction in the death of her boyfriend, Conrad .
The two-part documentary about the case – entitled “I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth vs. Michelle Carter” – will premiere at South By Southwest March 9 and will air on HBO sometime this summer. However, a date has not been set.
