Chaos, mismanagement marred PTI rally in Peshawar

PESHAWAR (Staff Report) – Police resort to aerial firing to gain control of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers after a brawl broke out between them during a public gathering of the party in Peshawar on Monday.

As per media reports, a large crowd of people attempted to reach the stage, while another group tore down the walk-through gate at the venue, forcing police to resort to aerial firing.

The gunshots caused people to panic and triggered a small stampede.

Earlier, model Ainee Khan from Gujranwala was allegedly assaulted before the event and a video surfaced showing the model surrounded by PTI workers and participants at the rally’s venue.
