Afridi is a son of thief, sold Pakistan s matches: Javed Miandad

KARACHI – Legendary cricketer Javed Miandad on Sunday lambasted former Captain Shahid Afridi for the latter’s recent unpleasant remarks for the former captain.

“Afridi is a son of a thief, i dare him to swear by his daughters lives that it’s not true he sold Pakistan matches. I am a witness, I caught him myself,” Javed said.

Miandad said Afridi has no place in the national cricket team.

“His attitude towards the seniors is beyond comprehension. Now the people will decide whether Afridi should be selected in the team or not”, he added.

Meanwhile, people turned to Twitter in support for Miandad, criticizing Afridi over his controversial remarks against the senior player:

Former Captain Shahid Afridi on Sunday took legendary cricketer Javed Miandad on for his remarks about him farewell from cricket world.

“Miandad is a big player but I never expected from him such low level remarks like he made against me. That’s why, there is a huge difference between Imran Khan and Javed Miandad”, Afridi said while speaking at a ceremony.

“Miandad’s issue has always been money,” he further maintained.

Afridi was replying to a query by a reporter who quoted Miandad as saying ‘that Afridi wants a farewell match only for the money’.
